Countdown 2030 is a group of architects from Switzerland that aims to raise awareness of architecture’s responsibility to climate change and biodiversity loss. The name Countdown 2030 symbolizes the urgent need for action. Our challenge is seen as an opportunity for architecture to reinvent itself.
The lecture describes the work of the group, the fields of action for architects in teaching and in everyday professional life, and the greatest levers for counteracting the crisis. It wants to inspire understanding of these urgent topics as design-generating starting points for a more meaningful design.
